Dr. Greg Pond is the Director of the Escarpment Cancer Research Institute (ECRI). He is a biostatistician and an Associate Professor in the Department of Oncology. He is the Associate Director of Ontario Clinical Oncology Group ( OCOG). He holds an Ontario Institute for Cancer Research (OICR) Senior Scientist Award. His expertise is in cancer clinical trials, especially Phase I and II trials.

Rosalyn Juergens

Dr. Rosalyn Juergens is a medical oncologist and Associate Professor in the Department of Oncology. She is head of the Clinical Trials Department at the Juravinski Cancer Centre. Dr. Juergens’ clinical expertise is in lung and esophageal cancer. She is a patient advocate and serves as the Medical Advisory Committee Chair for Lung Cancer Canada and is past chair of the Investigational New Drug Committee of the Canadian Cancer Trials Group. Her research interest is in novel drug therapies and precision medicine.

Hira Mian
Assistant Professor, Oncology
Dr. Hira Mian is a hematologist and Assistant Professor in the Department of Oncology. Her clinical expertise is in multiple myeloma which is also the focus of her research. The aims of her research are to optimize and improve outcomes in these patients using real-world registry data and with interventional clinical trials. She has received funding from the Juravinski Cancer Foundation, the Hamilton Health Sciences New Investigator Fund as well as an Early Career Research Award from Hamilton Health Sciences. She is also the recipient of the 2022 Leukemia and Lymphoma Society of Canada Grant which will be used for the development of a predictive tool for patients with non-curable hematologic malignancies. She is a board member of Myeloma Canada and an active members with the Canadian Cancer Trial Group as well as the Canadian Myeloma Research Group.

Dr. Hsien Seow is a health services researcher and Associate Professor in the Department of Oncology. He holds a Canada Research Chair (CRC) Tier II Chair in Palliative Care and Health System Innovation and directs the McMaster ICES Hub. He is a national leader in research related to palliative care in oncology.

Jonathan Sussman
Professor and Chair, Oncology
Dr. Jonathan Sussman is Professor and Chair of the Department of Oncology at McMaster University. He is a radiation oncologist and his focus is primarily on the treatment of breast and hematological malignancies. Dr. Sussman’s research focus is in health services research and he has extensive experience in the design and evaluation of models of cancer survivorship care from the patient, provider and health systems perspectives. Dr. Sussman is the Scientific Director of the Ontario Program in Evidence-Based Care (PEBC), the province-wide guideline and evidence development program for Ontario’s cancer system
